Louise Hazel joined me on the show on Monday the 4th of April to talk about something thats really important across North Derbyshire.
Being able to exercise and keep fit is something we should all take for granted, whether it be a regular stroll to the shops or a weekend cycle. Not all of us are in the right shape to become regular runners or joggers, but new research shows an alarming 47% of adults have admitted they couldn’t run more than half a mile in one go.
To deal with that, this May the BHF is launching a brand new fundraising campaign MyMarathon, challenging the nation to put their best foot forward and run a marathon over the course of a month. The 26.2-mile challenge – raising cash for life-saving research - doesn’t have to be all at once, but in your own time. It can take 4 hours, 4 days or 4 weeks – with the runner deciding the place and the pace.
